1. About these terms
These terms explain how Wonder Global Inc (“Flendy”, “we”) pays creators and clippers. They’re part of the creator agreement, and where the two differ on payment, these terms apply. Spotters are paid under the spotter terms.
2. How you earn
- Views and clipping campaigns: each time a post’s verified views pass a milestone (1K, 5K, 10K and up), the pay for that step is added to your balance at the campaign’s rate. There’s no fee taken from the rate you see.
- Collabs, UGC and paid seeding: the agreed fee, less Flendy’s 5% processing fee, is added to your balance when the brand approves your delivery (or when you post, if the campaign doesn’t need approval). Every offer shows what lands with you before you accept.
- Bonuses, ad codes and affiliate commission are added the same way, at the amounts shown before you agree. Your first approved post to pass 1K views earns a one-off bonus.
- You earn in the campaign’s currency, which is the brand’s. If you work with brands in different countries you may hold a balance in more than one currency; we never mix them.
- Your balance is money Flendy owes you for your work. It isn’t a bank deposit or a savings account, doesn’t earn interest and can’t be spent on Flendy. It can only be withdrawn to you.
3. The 7-day hold and fraud checks
- New earnings are on hold for 7 days. Your balance shows what’s on hold and the day each amount clears. When the hold ends and the checks pass, the money becomes available to withdraw.
- During the hold we check that the views and work are real: sudden spikes, engagement far below normal, the same video posted from other accounts, very new accounts, and differences between the platform’s count and the public count. A post that’s flagged stops earning, and its earnings stay on hold, until a person reviews it.
- If a post is found to be fake, its earnings are reversed and the money goes back to the brand. We’ll tell you why, and you can ask us to look again by replying to our message within 30 days.
- We may extend the hold on a specific amount while a review, a dispute with the brand, or a platform or bank query is open. We’ll tell you when we do.
4. Clawbacks and money owed
We may take money back from your balance, or ask you to repay it, if it was paid:
- for views, clicks or sales later found to be fake, bought or generated by bots;
- for a post you deleted, hid or edited to remove the brand or the label within 30 days of posting;
- by mistake, for example twice, to the wrong account or at the wrong amount;
- for a deal that Flendy decided, after a dispute, should be refunded to the brand in whole or in part.
We’ll first take it from money on hold or available in the same currency. If that isn’t enough, we’ll ask you to repay it and may hold future earnings until it’s settled. We’ll always show you what was taken back and why. Recovering money from fraud doesn’t limit anything else we can do under the acceptable use policy.
5. Withdrawing
- You can withdraw available money to a bank account or mobile money wallet in your own name, in a country where Flendy pays creators. Where the provider can look up the account holder’s name, we check it before saving the account. We don’t pay into accounts belonging to someone else.
- Next-day withdrawals are free. We send them once a day, and they usually land within one working day. Banks and networks can take longer on weekends and holidays.
- Instant withdrawals, where offered, cost 1.5% of the amount, shown before you confirm. We may pause instant withdrawals at any time; next-day is always available.
- We tell you when money is on its way, with the reference. If a bank or network rejects a transfer, the full amount comes back to your available balance and we tell you why.
Limits by country
These are today’s limits. The app shows the current ones before you withdraw, and we’ll give you notice before raising them.
| Country | Paid to | Smallest withdrawal | Identity check after | Identity check with |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nigeria | Bank account | ₦1,000 | ₦50,000 withdrawn in total | A bank account in your own name, or your BVN |
| Ghana | Bank account; MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash or AirtelTigo Money | GH₵10 | GH₵400 withdrawn in total | Your Ghana Card number |
| Kenya | Bank account; M-Pesa | KSh 100 | KSh 5,000 withdrawn in total | Your Kenyan national ID number |
| South Africa | Bank account | R20 | R600 withdrawn in total | Your South African ID number |
6. Currencies and exchange rates
- When your account is in the same currency as your balance, the amount you withdraw is the amount sent, less any instant fee. Flendy doesn’t charge for the transfer itself.
- When it isn’t (for example naira earnings going to a Ghanaian mobile money wallet), we convert at payout, at the exchange rate we quote at that moment. We show you the rate and the exact amount that will land before you confirm, round down to the smallest unit of the receiving currency, and record the rate on your payout.
- We take rates from a market data provider or, when that isn’t available, the rate table our finance team keeps. We don’t add a margin to the rate.
- If we can’t get an honest rate, the withdrawal waits or we ask you to choose an account in the balance’s currency. We never guess a rate.
- Your bank or network may charge its own fees for receiving money or converting it. Those are between you and them.
7. Identity checks
- Before your total withdrawals in a currency pass the amount in the table above, we ask you to verify your identity. This protects you and brands against fraud, and helps us meet anti-money-laundering rules.
- Nigeria: either the name on your bank account matches your Flendy name, or you verify your BVN. BVN checks are done through Paystack.
- Ghana, Kenya and South Africa: you verify your Ghana Card, national ID or South African ID number, which our identity provider (Smile ID) checks against the government record and the name you give.
- We keep the result and the last 4 digits only, never your full BVN or ID number, and we don’t take selfies or biometric data.
- We may ask for more (for example proof of address or source of funds) if the law requires it, if a withdrawal is unusually large, or if something looks wrong. Until a check is done, withdrawals above the limit wait. Earnings already on your balance stay yours.
How we handle identity data is in the privacy policy.
8. Tax
- You’re an independent contractor and responsible for declaring and paying tax on what you earn where you live, including income tax and, if you’re registered, VAT or its equivalent.
- Where the law requires us to deduct tax from a payment to you (for example withholding tax) or to report payments to a tax authority, we will. Any deduction is shown on the payout and in your earnings history, and we’ll give you the receipt or certificate the law provides for.
- Flendy’s 5% processing fee and the instant withdrawal fee may include VAT where the law requires it; we’ll show it if so.
- You can download your earnings history at any time from your account, for your own records and tax returns.
9. Unused balances
Your balance stays yours however long you leave it. If you haven’t signed in for 24 months and still have money with us, we’ll email you and send a notification asking you to withdraw it. If we still can’t reach you or pay you, we’ll keep holding it for you and deal with it as the law where you live requires for unclaimed money. We don’t charge inactivity fees.
10. Leaving with a balance
- So nobody loses money, we can’t delete an account that still has money owed to it. Withdraw what’s available first; money on hold is paid once its checks clear. The app tells you what’s outstanding. See how to delete your account.
- If what’s left is below the smallest withdrawal, email hello@flendy.co and we’ll pay it out anyway, or you can tell us in writing that you don’t want it.
- If we close your account, genuine earnings are still paid out, less anything you owe us or a brand. Earnings from fraud are not paid. After deletion we keep the payment records the law requires, as described in the privacy policy.
11. Questions and disputes
- If a payment looks wrong, missing or late, tell us within 90 days of when it should have arrived, with “Get help” on the payout or deal, or at hello@flendy.co. We’ll reply within 5 working days and fix any mistake of ours promptly.
- Disagreements with a brand about a delivery are handled from the deal: we look at the brief, the messages and the content and decide fairly, which may mean releasing, splitting or returning the fee.
- Anything we can’t resolve is handled under “Changes, disputes and law” in the creator agreement.
12. Changes to these terms
We’ll tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before we change fees, the hold or withdrawal limits to your disadvantage, unless the law or a fraud risk requires a faster change. Money you earned before a change keeps the terms it was earned under.
